On March 3, 2010 the Riverside County AVOID the 30 program and Riverside County MADD joined the California Office of Traffic Safety in recognizing officers throughout Riverside County for their efforts in improving safety and taking impaired drivers off of the roadways.  Awards were presented to the officer from each agency that made the most DUI arrests during 2009 and all officers with more than 25 DUI arrests.  In total, the officers recognized were responsible for 5,432 arrests in Riverside County during 2009. 

During this recognition ceremony, Officer Jennifer Kennedy of the Palm Springs Police Department was recognized for her 120 DUI arrests during 2009.
