The Desert Riders Association ("DRA") distributed funds raised throughout 2009 to a number of charitable causes this Sunday September 6, 2009. Included in this distribution were funds they raised for the Widows and Orphans funds for each of the Police Departments and Riverside County Sheriff's offices in the Coachella Valley, including the Palm Springs Police Department.  DRA President Eric Hill issued a check to Sgt Troy Castillo, a police association member.  

The Palm Springs Police Officers' Association is thankful for organizations in the community that honor fallen police officers and their families.  The money will be placed in the Palm Springs Police Officers Memorial Foundation account.
