The Palm Springs Police Officer’s Association reaches out to our community by conducting fundraisers so that we may help those organizations that share our goals of public safety and helping those citizens that are less fortunate.  Some of our fundraisers are through our annual Golf Tournament and Softball Tournament.  May 17 & 18, 2008 was our softball tournament at Big League Dreams Sports Park in Cathedral City.  This year’s Golf Tournament is on Friday December 5, 2008 at the Indian Canyons Golf Resort, 1097 E. Murray Canyon Drive, in Palm Springs.

We also raise money through our annual fundraiser mailer sent to the citizens and businesses of Palm Springs. We pride ourselves in not conducting telephone campaign drives, which disturbs the peace of our citizens and invades their privacy.  We also accept donations through our PayPal link at http://www.pspoa.com/store/index.php or you can mail it directly to Palm Springs Police Officers' Association, P.O. Along with many others, we also support Youth Baseball, Soccer, Football Leagues, Christmas Programs, Police Athletic League, Toy Runs and the Widows and Families of Fallen or Injured Southern California Law Enforcement Officers.  We also support our own Scholarship Program, through the Palm Springs Police Officers’ Memorial Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, which memorializes our two fallen officers, Gayle Gene Eldridge and Lyle Wayne Larrabee, killed in the line of duty in 1961 and 1962, respectively. These scholarships are given to deserving Palm Springs High School Seniors seeking a career in the criminal justice system, our Police Explorers and also to the children of our police officers seeking to attend college.  Our community and all those we support depend on your involvement.
